Generosity
Incorporated is a unique publishing company, created to produce
and market the works of author and spiritual teacher Connie Kaplan,
as well as other products which stem from these works.
We
are a privately-held, self-capitalized corporation.
We
reside in eleven cities and rural communities across the United
States. |
|
We
are also a devoted spiritual community, mutually committed to
the interdependent practice inspired by the teachings put forward
in our books, CDs and related
products. (Please click here

Our
uniqueness in the corporate world stems from our unusual emergence.
Recently seventeen of us gathered for our annual retreat. In the
midst of rocking, knitting, beading and chatting one peaceful
afternoon, we came to a realization. In the years we'd studied
and practiced together, each of us had experienced profound transformation
in her worldview, thought patterns, capacity for compassion, and
ability to love.
|
Although
we have an extensive network of brother and sister practitioners
located all over the world, we expressed to each other how deeply
we longed to share the benefits of our work with a much larger
audience. Yet we also confessed how limited we felt in our ability
to do so. How could a small spiritual group impact the world?
Thankfully,
in that moment the principle of Generosity blasted its way through
our shield of littleness and into our hearts. We realized that
we were our own best resources.
|
|
We
have in our ranks three published authors, several artists,
an entrepreneur, an attorney, a financial specialist, a book
designer, an editor, and a publicist. Added together, we have
475 years of professional experience.
Most
importantly, our product has already been tested, as each of
us has worked extensively with this material, and our desire
to extend it to a larger community stems from our own acquaintance
with its power. We could impact the world by giving what we
have received back to the world.
|
By
the end of that retreat, we had formed a new company. We became
our own shareholders so that we wouldn't need to gather funds
before we could start giving.
In
a sense, we are a backwards corporation. We materialized out of
an already-bonded group. Except for a few special needs, we didn't
have to go to outside sources for expertise or capital. And our
desire to give is, in this instance, much larger than our desire
to receive. |
|
| We
named ourselves Generosity Incorporated because
a large part of our theology involves embodying (incorporating)
the spiritual principle of Generosity. When one's worldview encompasses
balance between giving and receiving, greed and competition for "more" disappear.
In their place a fervor for acts of loving kindness materializes. |
